Boredom Rhymes with Introspection!

15 May

If you think this is going to be one of those “what i did last week” posts, think again. It’s just about a pseudo-reunion that took place yesterday, in the outer realm of Thane.

Luckily all my papers were in order so the border immigration guys didn’t give me any trouble. After all, i had to visit what we tourists call “first left from Eternity Mall”, which is known to the locals as “Thane Mental Hospital”, but known to all us BMM folk as An0′s place.

Anything but a mental hospital, though, though we have doubts about the mental health of one of the residents whose name rhymes with “know” or “ya”.

Sure it was nice to meet up with the BMM bunch, what with the usual ribbing, gossiping and bitching, it just seemed a tad lame.

Then again it would always be if you’re their moving target but hey, i’m used to it. And its not as if i never get back or they never fall victim to shooting themselves in the mouth. With a rocket launcher.

What is lame, lame to the point of cripple to be precise, is the dreaded C-word.

Get your head out of the gutter (An0 this means you). The word is change.

Some people never change, those who do, change for the worse. Leading to a distorted, perverse sense of what is real and what is not.

Sure we’re all friends and all that social jazz, but if the person in question seems so disconnected and vague, a shell of what he/she was, and that too a transformation so intense in a period of 3 years, just leaves me shocked.

Even more so when there’s a quaint little true to life fable or “history” shared with the individual. Color me caustic and sceptic, but there’s more than meets the eye. Either the last few years were a total facade or what’s going on right now is one.

Quite irritating is this bitch called change. Especially when its uncalled for, unecessary and seems extremely fake.

All in an attempt to gain Sainthood perhaps? Only time will tell.

For now, i’m just grateful that those who count, are just the same. Even if they’re not, at least they’re honest about it. Or seem to be.

Thanks for being around.
